    • This book needed only one little thing to make it work, an editor who had the slightest clue about what is and is not a horror movie. He seems to have decided that the perfect horror movie is something like Deliverance rather than something like The Evil Dead and at times seems to resent having to include films with monsters and scares and hasn't realised that if the best thing about a scary movie is the cinematography then that movie has failed, rather than a list of movies a horror fan might en [...]

    • A good idiots guide to horror. Some films missing and some included that I would of left out but I can't believe anybody could read all of this and not learn something, I've definitely found some new films to try.

    • Pretty basic stuff--the only people this book will likely help is newbs to the horror film game. Not very well written--quite a few mistakes regarding plots and even actors and the descriptions of the films very often feature spoilers (fine if you say that up front but this is supposed to be a guide to films you SHOULD see, and who wants to see something that has been spoiled?). • I am reading a new edition off this book titled Horror: 333 Films to Scare You To Death. I am enjoying it greatly.

    • This is a resource book, so one I didn't read entirely cover to cover. But, I will be referring back to it often, have already ordered a couple movies per the book's recommendations.

    • This was more of a skim through kind of book. I now know more than I wanted to know about some of my favorite horror movies.
