    • I first read this two years ago, and to my dismay I had forgotten to write a review for it, which is to prove my downfall as I read this again - came across the book by accident, and thought I liked it the last time. I was wrong. The plot is horrendous, and the hero is almost as despicable as the incompetent villain. There have been other stories of the "married someone who is near death for [blank] selfish reasons" but Viscount Blackwood quite takes the cake for never apologizing for his action [...]


    • I tried and tried to not hate the H, and give him the benefit of doubt as well as chances and opportunities to prove his worthiness as a basically decent and deserving man. But sorry, he remained the sorry piece of humanity that he always was.The h, at times annoying still convinces you of her love and capacity thereof. But the H deteriorated even further in my opinion with each page. And that dragged on ending was the mother of all dragged on endings – evaaaa!Okay so he marries her- a sick an [...]


    • 2.5 stars. As usual the story of my life with these last few books. Started off with great potential to end up being a dud. The beginning of this book would have you believe that it would have had some real depth but nope sorry, it quickly ventured into the predictable. I couldn't believe that the villain got away scot free in the end being shipped off somewhere. I HATE when authors do that!!
