    • I bought this series for 99 cents on Kindle to pass the busy month of December. There are six novellas in all. I loved the first four as they were more old-fashioned and romantic. The last two were more modern and urban and not as much to my taste, though I did like the final one because the main character spent her time and magic helping children in crisis. I would recommend it as a light read to fans of light romance.

    • This book was really fun. The reader can easily identify with the main characters, because for the most part there’s a genuinely human element in each one (flawed yet hopeful), but there’s magic as well—and that’s something I enjoy in books. That said, the first 5 novelas are evenly grouped—enjoyable, clean Christmas fairy stories; but the last one about social justice doesn’t mesh with the collection at all. I’d have given the book a 5-star review without that last one bundled in. [...]

    • I received a copy of this book in exchange for an fair and honest reviewIt’s a bit early in the season, but today the high is in the 30s, Christmas beer is in the stores, and I’m in the mood for an early Christmas read - this book delivers! As an anthology, the book contains six stories that all relate to Christmas and faeries in some way. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of ways the stories incorporated the themes. With all the variety, some of the stories appealed to me m [...]

    • A Mistletoe Kiss: I am a huge Meara Platt fan! I absolutely love her Fae tales Here is the tale of king of the Fae's warrior Beogrin. King Cadeyrn receives a letter from Imogen pleading for a "Fairy Godmother" to guide her through her first season. Her parent's died a year before and her heart is not into this exciting new season. Her loving Aunt and Uncle love and guide her but her fear is in disappointing them. The Fae King sends his most fiercest warrior in to aid Imogen. Beogrin believes he [...]

    • I have to admit that I don't normally go for faerie stories, but I've really been enjoying Meara Platt's Dark Garden's series and it was through those that I came to this collection. The first story in the set is by Meara Platt and set in the same world as her Dark Gardens books. It was a lovely little read and I enjoyed it.The other stories are all very different and on the whole very good. I particularly enjoyed Matthew's Hope and The Laws of Magic. All of the stories were good though, which d [...]
