    • Children love this circular cumulative story told in two voices.The left side page features neighbors pig and goat exchanging remarks about the pie goat bought at the bakery. The opposite page fleshes out the outrageous journey the pie takes by fire truck, canoe, jeep, camel, and hot air balloon as it negotiates a forest fire, waterfall, desert, safari, and hurricane. The story ends where it begins -- the the good ole U.S. of A providing a perfect transition to the final story in today's program [...]


    • This is "Where Have All the Flowers Gone" and "There's a Hole in the Bucket" put together in a humorous book. I did find it slightly annoying, as I have those 2 songs. But that does not mean I do not get any enjoyment from it. Fun pictures with more going on that might make it better for a lapsit. But the question-answer suspense might make it a good storytime read as well. Either way, however, the book was a little odiferous for my preference.




    • A simple tale of a goat who bought a pie and what happened to the pie. A silly book that is fun to read.


    • I like Valeri Gorbachev's books and want to keep track of the ones I've read to Alena. This kept our attention and was easy to read to her. It's one of my favorites that we checked out this week.
