    • Jeremy's teacher announces that they are having a talent show featuring grandparents in honour of Grandparent's week. Jeremy's classmates are all excited telling their friends what their grandparent will be showing the class. Jeremy is not sure what talent his grandmother has or what she will be able to show the class. After school, Jeremy visits his grandmother and tries to figure out what her talent is. When she is unable to juggle, do magic tricks or cook, they decide to take a break and play [...]

    • What Can Your Grandma DoBy: Anne SawanThis is an adorable and cheerful Children’s book. I love the colorful and whimsical illustrations on each page. Even toddlers can follow along when THEIR grandma reads it to them.Next week is “Grandparents Appreciation Week” at Jeremy’s school. All of his classmates are excited! Jeremy can’t think of anything his grandma can do. Jeremy and his grandma discuss talents… no, no, nope… not that one wither. Until they discover what his grandma CAN d [...]

    • What a fun book for your collection! Jeremy's school is hosting a talent show for grandparents in honour of Grandparent's Week and the participants will be the grandparents themselves. What a novel idea! Every student expresses the gifts and talents of their grandparents but when it comes to Jeremey's Grandma well let's just say her choices are limited or so Jeremy thinks. Some of his classmates spout off that their Grandma is an excellent cook, another one's Grandpa is an excellent painter, and [...]

    • Callie's Kid Review: 5 stars for the story and pictures. I would recommend it to my friends. The reading level was medium because there was words in other languages and the font was sometimes hard to read. I thought the pictures were pretty. I thought the story was great because she is good at basketball and I'm good at basketball too. I liked it when the grandma grabbed the hoop and then she couldn't get down.My Mommy Review: WHAT CAN YOUR GRANDMA DO? by Anna Sawan is a fun read for kids. The i [...]

    • Good short bedtime story, a vibrant and colourful book.I read this along to my grandson and 'tested it out' with him. He is 7 and this book is intended for ages 4 to 7. We quite enjoyed this book and loved the fun, colourful pictures. This is a pleasant little tale, just the right length for bedtime reading, and you can read the whole story in one session. It ended a little bit sooner than I thought it was going to. It was looking very promising but then I thought there could have been just that [...]

    • What Can Your Grandma Do? by Anne Sawan What Can Your Grandma Do? by Anne Sawan is a fun-to-read children's book for ages four to seven years. It is illustrated by Sernur Iski. It's about grandparents with special talents. But does Jeremy's grandma have one? He learns what it is. I gave it four stars. I received a complimentary Kindle copy from Clavis Books and NetGalley. That did not change my opinion for this review. Link to purchase: amazon/What-Can-Your-

    • This is an absolutely wonderful children's book! The illustrations are AWESOME! Very beautiful. Not only is it culturally sensitive and promotes multiculturalism, it also makes the reader aware of prejudices they may hold. We are taught from a young age that elderly people are weak and need help. This view is often promoted by our observed behaviour or elderly people. However this book sheds light on the fact that being old doesn't automatically mean you are unable to live life like the rest of [...]

    • I was debating my rating for this because while this book probably had good intentions I couldn't help but feel bad because this kid legit thought his grandmother had no talent. Like, if your grandmother made you soup from scratch she already has talent. Just saying.Otherwise, this was so cute. I actually liked it. It was adorable. The end.I received a copy for review from netgalley.

    • This is a fun book that looks at grandparents and how they all are unique and all have different skills and special talents. I loved the images and its a fun book to keep little ones engaged and entertained.

    • Next week is the grandparents talent show at school. Everyone's grandparent can do something cool, except Jeremy. What can his grandma do? A fun look at grandparents and how they all are unique.

    • Sawan, Anne and Isik, Sernur What Can your Grandma Do? PICTURE BOOK. Clavis, 2017. $17. Jeremy’s class is having a grandparent talent show day. As he listens to all the other children talk about their grandparent’s talent, Jeremy becomes worried. His Grandma is good at lots of things, but none of them are special. When he goes to her house after school, together they search for her talent.I started off really liking this book, especially the adorable illustrations. But I didn’t care in the [...]

    • 'What Can Your Grandma Do?' by Anne Sawan with art by Sernur Isik is a cute picture book about the many talents that we all have, even if they don't seem obvious at the time.Jeremy's school is having a talent show for grandparents. The other kids all have grandparents who can do wonderful things like bake or splint an arm or make paintings. Jeremy isn't sure his grandma has a talent, but then he finds that it has been right in front of him this whole time. The art in the book is cute with color [...]

    • There’s an upcoming talent show at the grade school, but in a twist that I’m glad we didn’t have when I was that age, it’s for the grandparents. There are cooks, painters, dancers, and so on, but Jeremy has no idea what his grandma’s special talent is. The book shows them trying several things, all failures, which makes both of them sad.Perhaps they should have looked at the cover, where grandma is spinning a basketball on her finger. Pretty sure that even with the ballerinas and hula [...]

    • Jeremy is afraid that his grandmother has no special talents to share with his class - but when it comes to basketball, she is a rock star.Though there is diversity among the skin tones in this book, the fact that all of them have grandparents who live nearby and can come to a talent show homogenizes the experience.
