    • Scarlett pimpernel in the coloniesThis story is the scarlett pimpernel set in the colonies right before the revolution-with sex. It has quite a few intimate scenes, not all happy. The emotions are clear and heart wrenching. The ending is happy for more than one character.

    • I had just read the Scarlet Pimpernel, and saw a review that this was like a retelling of that story. While it mimics the outline of the Scarlet Pimpernel, this book went more in depth into the characters' backgrounds and feelings. I also thought this book was a little reminicent of A Rose in Winter which is one of my favorite books ever! Overall, I enjoyed this book.
