    • Abigail Wheeler and Gabriel Kelly have always been friends. From when they were eight years old, slaying imaginary dragons in her grandmother’s strawberry patch, to branching out into adulthood, with Gabriel taking over his father’s carpentry business, and Abigail taking college courses and participating in sit-ins to protest the war.Times have changed, but one thing has stayed the same; their feelings for one another.(Warning: Contains Spoilers, But Doesn’t Give Away The Ending.)He tells [...]

    • Amanda Gale has done it again with Strawberry and Sage making me adore her stories even more. This book is sort of a “prequel” to the Meredith Series books and tells the story of Gabriel Kelly and the love of his life, Abigail Wheeler. If you remember from the Meredith Series, Gabriel is the father of one of the men Meredith was with and ultimately married.Strawberry and Sage has a different pace then the Meredith series that I think stems from the personalities of the characters and the tim [...]

The characters were thoughtful and they considered the complexities of the era. But this was no cloyingly sweet book -- there was an undercurrent of difficulty and conflict, but not in an obvious, crass way. I loved this book so much -- it's such a refre [...]

    • This was one of those books that I was sorry to finish because I really wanted to hang out with the characters for just a little longer. A really enjoyable read.
