    • "If you let anger dominate every part of your existence, you will end up doing things you’ll deeply regret. Things that will ruin your life."This book could change lives. I kid you not. I was expecting vampires (lol yeah) or something ver paranormal-y. But nope, no vamps or werewolves or something even remotely paranormal-y about 32 seconds but what I read is thousands better! I didn't expect to be SO SO affected, but I was. Big time. 32 seconds is like a big slap in the face. Pitcairn did suc [...]

    • orginally reviewed atSo many Books, So little time When the story began, I figured it must be a category of YA novels tracing the life of a crass, rich, spoilt girl. I couldn't have been more wrong, for soon enough (read: two chapters later), the story was on a track entirely contrasting and different from what I had initially anticipated. And the contrast was a good one. With symbolic meanings and a parallelism throughout, the author has brought out a refreshing narration and story form. here's [...]

    • Julie allows her anger to get the better of her, then runs from the problem she causes when angry. Something she does to hide her insecurities. She hides her lack of self esteem, her inability to face the truth and the hurt she causes around her by blaming others for her shortfalls. This is something she has been doing since she was fifteen years old when she did a terrible thing, which could have destroyed all those around her. She burries all her wrong doings deep down and lives in a world of [...]

    • I was given this book for an honest review. I struggled with the words that would do this book justice. Books are not only created to entertain us, uplift us, but to transform and touch us. This book does this. Johanna Pitcairn’s 32 Seconds is a wonderful book. She has created an uneasy, thoughtful, and profound story. You follow Julie the main character, a teenager, on a journey of emotional struggle. Ms. Pitcairn delves into the dark recesses of Julie’s mind and follows her as she fights h [...]

    • Johanna Pitcairn has a great style in the way she writes. We are introduced to Julie, a girl who is a bit obsessive and mostly angry. Johanna gets the book off and running with a quick start and has a fantastic way of describing Julie as an entitled and spoiled teen that we have all had the displeasure of knowing. From the rich and famous family to the clothing and car, she is the character we love to hate. Before we know what happened the script is flipped and we are feeling for this angst fill [...]

    • njkinnysblog/2015/02/bWhen I heard about this book, I was a bit uncertain about it. It intrigued me but also somewhat looked like a book I would end up forgetting. However, after reading it, I am so happy to tell you that I absolutely loved it. 32 Seconds is a refreshing take on the teen life. The author has showed the readers a different side to the teen dilemmas and a new understanding to all their tantrums and ill-behavior.The cover is colourful but not very informative to the reader. I could [...]

    • All I want to tell you is that this book is a must read for everyone as this is even better the self-help books available in the stores. I have always hated preaching but once in a while I get to read a book which has a very powerful message which is valuable to me. This book is one of those. This book helped me to look at my life and think hard about my own actions and how it has impacted my life and others. This book definitely falls into the category of the book that not only entertain us but [...]

    • 3.5 Stars!Such a unique book featuring a young teen's journey! This is a bit different than my normal read, but I'm so glad I tried Johanna's book 32 Seconds. There is some wonderful symbolism used, especially that of Julie's trip to The Underworld and the number 32! 32 Seconds feels much like a YA contemporary with a touch of paranormal. If you like imperfect, life-like heroines, journeys, redemption and symbolism, then you might just want try 32 Seconds by Johanna K.Pitcair.

    • I enjoyed this story about self acceptance and love. Addiction does come in any shape or form. It's always best to seek help when you think you have a problem with drugs. This books shows us the way a person can be in denial and not see out. I enjoyed the concept of Julie battling her own demons to order to know she had a problem to began with.

    • Received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Review will be posted on my blog on February 13th, 2015 cchellereads I will then copy paste it here.

    • The book was an interesting premise but ultimately went in a completely different direction to what I expected. I did enjoy it, even though it was a little hard to follow at times.
