Logo, após ouvir elogios vindos de Antonio Cicero, e tendo comprado um livro de sonetos portugueses, li meu primeiro poema de Sophia, "Em todos os jardins", um verdadeiro afago na nuca da alma. E percebi nos demais sonetos o mesmo rigor absoluto no emprego expressivo dos sons, sempre com as figuras recorrentes do mar, da terra, da luz e do vento. Qual não foi minha alegria [...]

As imagens se sucedem em seus poemas de forma livre e descompromissada em seus versos, bem ao estilo modernista.
