    • 2nd book in the Sadie Cooper series. Now that she has solved Aunt Abby’s murder, Sadie has hung out her shingle as a PI. The clients are scarce until aong comes Ben White.Enjoyable read though I got the drift of where the mystery would end about 1/3 of the way thru. Still the characters and dialogue kept me entertained to the end.

    • These are the reviews I hate to do . However I believe in being completely honest when reviewing books, no matter how much I like an author. Normally this Author is dead on , I loved the previous series and liked the first book in this series. Well lets get on with it then .The good: I love Abby. She is full of sass and fiesty. I love Hal he is a great character . I really liked Mary. The could have been better:1. I didn’t get the whole mystery .There were too many empty holes and not enough a [...]

    • Sadie Cooper's fledgling detective agency is sinking. Never one to give up easily, she won't let go, even when her only client pays in leftover mashed potatoes. Her oldest friend, Luke, doesn't approve of her new venture, and neither does her father. Sadie can barely make ends meet, but just as she begins to feel discouraged, help arrives in the form of a new client, one whose bizarre story of possible murder will suck her into a vortex of dead ends and strange twists. With a little help from he [...]

    • #2 in the private investigator Sadie Cooper mystery series. She runs a struggling detective agency trying to support herself when she gets a paying case when a stranger asks her to help him determine whether he has killed someone in his sleep. As she investigates, people who are leads start dying while close friends mistrust the client who Sadie appears to becoming more and more attracted to.There's a major subplot involving Sadie's past as she left the town and then returns with has her dealing [...]

    • Sadie, Luke, Abbey and Hal are all back in this story. Sadie and Abbey's private investigation company is struggling to get off the ground. Sadie accepts a client who claims he may have killed some one and pays Sadie to investigate. The story has twist and turns that keeps the reader turning the pages, even when you figure out who the killer is. You can't help but laugh at Gideon's accident and his big mouth spouting off.

    • Fast, fun mystery staring Sadie Cooper, Luke, Hal, Abbey and Gideon. Sadie and Abbey have taken up sleuthing for a living. They move from finding an elderly man's pills to finding a out if a man with nightmare's of killing someone actually did the deed or is just dreaming. Well written and well edited. You are going to like it!

    • Very enjoyableI really enjoy this series. The characters are interesting and very likable and I love the wit. The stories are entertaining with the right amount of mystery and action.

    • Vanessa Gray Bartal is one of my favorite authors. She writes an interesting mystery and her characters have humor. Sadie Cooper is one of these amazing inventions of the author's mind. Sadie is very intellegent but also very funny. I hope to read many more additions to this series.

    • Reading and enjoying. Maybe I've found someone new to read since Virginia Browns "Divas" can't get written fast enough for me. I like this father and daughter banter. Always have Mr. Twain to fall back on if I need to a good chuckle. Hope I won't need too.
