    • This is a tough review to write. The book itself has no story line and the writing is not so good, yet again what can we expect from a nearly illiterate criminal? The first chapters are very graphic and interesting but very soon after that it all becomes a list of "I belted this I killed that I am so tough" It is clear that chopper has a very interesting personality. I just wonder how much of this book is true for all I know it could be all fiction, which is not bad either. It is interesting to s [...]

    • The book is a good yarn! I think that's the best way I can describe Chopper's story telling capabilities. I think if he were a fisherman he would have been pulling in the sea if you ask him!!!I'm sure there was truth in the basis of his tales buy I'm quite convinced he saw things the way he wanted too. I appreciate his candidness when talking about his gay experiences and feelings both in and out of the joint (prison) even though he really didn't see them that way as such. We can count our bless [...]

    • I think this book is one of those in which you pick up when you have free time throughout your day but not alot of it. Such as on bus' or in a waiting room. Not to say it isn't a good book, but just one you don't need to sit down and read then decipher while having to pay 110% attention. All in all an interesting read seeing as though i don't really wonder into it's genre. I rather reading books with more or a stable storyline and plot. (:

    • Road to know where is the first book I've read by Chopper Read and I thought it was very good and quite a page turner just wish it had been longer. This novel is about Chopper Read's Journey through the Australian prison system. We've all heard a few of these stories before of course but not quite like this it's a step by step history of Choppers 23 years behind bars what day today life was really like in jail and what he had to do to survive. Fabulous read❤❤❤

    • The book actually annoyed me. I was intrigued by Chopper's mentality and psychological issues, however there was no real 'page turner' in it for me.Maybe watching an interview would be more captivating.

    • First book i ever read from cover to cover & i couldnt put it down you learn alot about Chopper & his life & it help me understand more about a learning Disability
